Sherman Looking for 'Big' Time in Daytona

Player Management International PR

Spartanburg, SC (February 12, 2007)  Just one week after announcing Big Lots! as a primary sponsor, Brent Sherman is looking for big results from Daytona.

“I believe we will have a good qualifying run and our goal is to be in the top-15.”  Sherman continued, “When the race starts it will be important to stay out of trouble and be patient.  We will run a smart race and be a little conservative to make sure that we are there at the finish.  I really feel that we are capable of a top-10 finish and that would be a huge boost for the team and a great start to the season.”

Brent’s Crew Chief, Ricky Pearson agrees. “Brent is an experienced driver with the patience that is needed to be there at the finish at a track like Daytona.”  Pearson continued, “We learned some things during Daytona testing that will definitely help us for qualifying and the race.”

The # 36 Big Lots! Chevrolet takes to the historic 2.5-mile tri-oval on Wednesday, February 14th, at 3:00 PM (ET) for the season's first practice session.
